MIDDLEBORO — Beautification efforts in downtown Middleboro have bloomed this year thanks to a group effort from concerned residents and organizations.
Planter boxes and hanging plants were recently placed throughout the town center.
Mimi and Willy Duphily placed about 90 hanging baskets.
Town Manager James McGrail, town resident Paula Fay and representatives of the Parks and Recreation Department placed an additional 45 planter boxes throughout the downtown area.
Members of the Youth Environmental Social Society of Middleboro High School also worked to beautify Kramer Park.
