LAKEVILLE — A child was injured after being hit by a vehicle Monday evening near 80 Precinct St. The injuries are not believed to be serious, according to the Lakeville Fire Department.

Emergency crews responded just before 7 p.m. on May 26 and provided immediate care. The child was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital with a family member for further evaluation and treatment.

While crews were at the scene, a second medical emergency was reported at 12 Main St. Additional personnel were called in to maintain emergency coverage across the town.
