LAKEVILLE — A car collided with a utility pole at Cross St. on Friday, Dec 29 at around 12 p.m., according to the Lakeville Fire Department.

The driver of the car was not in the vehicle by the time the fire department arrived.

The utility pole was blocking the road. In addition, “arching wires caused a fire in a nearby tree,” the Fire Department said. However, according to the Fire Department the area was eventually made safe.
