Lakeville — To see how books, artwork and flowers can be intertwined, the Lakeville Garden Club encourages the public to check out the club’s exhibit at the Great Ponds Gallery in August. 

The “Book, Art & Blooms VI” exhibit will run from Thursday, August 1 to Friday, Aug. 30. 

The Club and Gallery Art Committee invite the public to come and see the books which inspired artists and floral arrangements that serve as a compliment to the literary and visual works. 

On opening day, there will be a reception and silent auction of the floral pieces from 6 to 8 p.m. After the reception, photographs of the floral designs will replace the auctioned floral displays.

This is the Club's sixth challenge exhibit and is supported in part by a grant from the Lakeville Arts Council and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
