MIDDLEBORO — Four Middleboro High School students recently graduated from the Massachusetts State Police Youth Cadet Law Enforcement Program.

Lilly Price, Ana Carolina Machado, Kaitlyn Koss and Peyton Lapanna completed the four-day program, held at the State Police Academy in New Braintree, on Saturday, July 19. Now in its 34th year, the program offers student “troopers” courses in first aid, criminal law, officer safety, internet safety, investigation, safe driving, team support and physical fitness.

During the graduation ceremony, Price and Machado led the singing of the national anthem. Machado also received the Roy Lamb Scholarship Award for leadership.

The students were sponsored by the Simeon L. Nickerson Post 64 of the American Legion.
