REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
DESIGN SERVICES – FORMER DPW BUILDING REUSE

The Town of Middleborough, MA is requesting qualifications from design professionals in accordance with M.G.L. 7C §44-58 to perform design services for the reuse of the former Department of Public Works building. Contract work includes preliminary conceptual planning, building design, construction cost estimation, bidding assistance, and the production of construction plans, specifications, and bid documents. Individuals working on this project must be architects or engineers licensed and registered in Massachusetts, have completed similar work in the State of Massachusetts within the last 2 years, and must have at least 5 years’ experience providing relevant services. An optional pre-submission site visit and briefing session will take place at 10:00 AM on November 6, 2024 at the project site, located at 48 Wareham Street, Middleborough, MA. This Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) may be obtained beginning at 8:00 AM on October 30, 2024 by contacting Emily Surette, Assistant to the Town Manager (email: surettee@middleboroughma.gov; phone: 508-947-0928). Existing studies & reports are included in the RFQ documents. Contract work shall begin within 30 days of the contract award and end upon the completion of project construction, which is estimated to conclude in July 2026. The awarding authority is the Select Board. This contract has a not-to-exceed limit of $100,000. Sealed applications will be received in the Town Manager’s Office, located at 10 Nickerson Ave., Middleborough, MA until November 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Requests for Proposals must be submitted by 4:00 PM on Thursday, November 14, 2024. The Town of Lakeville reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, as well as, any part of any or all proposals, deemed not in the best interest of the Town. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bids. The Lakeville Select Board is the contract awarding authority.
