Aug 29, 2023

To the editor:

The 65th annual agricultural fair of South Middleboro Grange was held on August 26, 2023. A long standing tradition conducted each August by the members of the grange was well attended by exhibitors, residents of Middleboro and surrounding towns and town officials including Select Board member Neil Rosental and State Representative Orrall. The Lecturer of the Massachusetts State Grange and her husband Kristen and Ken Paulson of Upton Grange attended representing the state grange. Deputy Commissioner of Agriculture Alisha Bouchard graced the grange fair with her presence and visited with grange members, exhibitors, fair attendees and local officials. What a wonderful display of support to the local long-standing grange fair by her local visit on Saturday.

Special thanks to the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge 1274, Middleboro, Massachusetts for their support of the grange over the past year and for graciously accepting the honor bestowed upon them as the recipient of the 2023 grange fair dedication.
