MIDDLEBORO — Theatre One will present  “Only Humans Bleed” on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. 

The play, written by George Smart is part of Theatre One’s new program “Stage Readings of New Works of MA and RI Playwrights.”

Playwright Smart of Quincy, MA encourages the audience to look into the future during the reading of “Only Humans Bleed.”

The play, attended for mature audiences, depicts drastic measures being taking due to climate change in the year 2050.

Doors open at 1:30 p.m. at the Mitchell Memorial Club on 29 Elm Street in Middleboro.

The reading will be followed by a question and answer session with the playwright. 

Admissions cost $10 at the door.
