Soule Homestead to host story hours, plant sale

MIDDLEBORO — Soule Homestead, 46 Soule St., Middleboro, will host a series of farm friendly story hours through the fall.

Those attending can meet the animals, hear a new story and make a craft. This program is geared towards ages 2-5 but siblings are always welcome.

This is an hour-long drop-in program, no pre-registration is needed. Bring a blanket for story time or enjoy the grass. Feel free to bring a lunch to stay and picnic after the program wraps up at 11 a.m. 

Rest rooms, water fountain, and baby changing station are located in the barn. 

Story hours will be held May 9; June 13; July 11; Aug. 8; Sept. 12; and Oct. 10. The event is free for members; the fee is $5 per child for non-members. No pre-registration is required.

Soule Homestead is an organic working farm. Guests are asked to wear shoes at all times. Bug spray is encouraged. For  more information, email info@soulehomestead.org

The homestead is also hosting its annual plant sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 6. A volunteer has gathered and nurtured some of her favorite plants. Vegetable seedlings and annual flower starts are also among the offerings.
