Rugbraiding class scheduled Oct.. 19
MIDDLEBORO — Soule Homestead Education Center, 46 Soule St., will host a rug braiding class from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19.
The class will be taught by Mary Guidoboni. Participants will dive into the art of rug braiding, creating circular designs by weaving tight braids of wool together with a heavy thread.
Attendees should bring the following materials: scissors, needles, thread, and wool. If participants need wool, Soule Homestead has a selection available for purchase.
This event is not for new workshop attendees. The fee is $30 for new member students and $40 for new non-member students for each of the first two classes, then $15 for returning members and $25 for returning non-members.
New students are required to complete two lessons before they are considered returning workshop participants. It will be held in the East classroom. Pre-registration is required.
