Public offices closed, parking bans continue after winter storm drops foot of snow in Middleboro and Lakeville
With over a foot of snow recorded in the Middleboro and the Lakeville area, town offices and public libraries are closed Monday, Jan. 26.
Middleboro and Lakeville town offices and libraries are closed on Monday. Parking and curbside trash pickup services are also affected by the winter storm aftermath.
In Middleboro, town offices and all town meetings for Monday will be rescheduled. Trash and recycling pickup have been postponed and will follow the usual holiday schedule. All vehicles must be removed from public roadways, under the police department’s parking ban.
Parking is available at the Town Hall lot in Middleboro, Jackson Street behind the old police station and at the Pearl Street parking lot.
In Lakeville, town offices are closed and meetings will be rescheduled. A parking ban is in effect through 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Under the ban, parking is prohibited on all public roadways.
Both the Lakeville and Middleboro public libraries are closed today. Both libraries are expected to open tomorrow.
