New exhibit at to True Grit Art Gallery to explore moments in color and memory

MIDDLEBORO — True Grit Art Gallery will host Snapshots in Oil, a solo exhibition featuring more than 48 oil paintings by Norfolk artist Michelle Quinn.

The show runs June 7–28 at the gallery, located at 38 Center St.

An opening reception will be held Saturday, June 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. The public is invited to meet the artist, view the work and enjoy complimentary adult refreshments.

Quinn’s paintings draw inspiration from Narragansett Bay, Irish landscapes and scenes from her hometown of Norfolk. Her work captures everyday moments with expressive color and brushwork.

Gallery hours are Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.
