New bridge flags wave in honor of departed service members

MIDDLEBORO — Stephen Adelman and Paul Provencher, current and former Middleboro Veterans Service Officers, recently replaced worn American flags on state bridge signs. The signs and flags honor the memories of Middleboro's war casualties.

Among those on state bridge signs from Middleboro, who lost their lives while in service to the United States, are: Leo Forcier, Hubert Loheed, William F. Hitchcock, David Bellerive, Albert B. Lang, Gerald B. Dorr.

Also, Earl Casey, Vincent A, Galfre, Leo Gamache, William M. Smith, Robert S. Stuart, Vernon A. Porter, Robert A. Crozier, Leonard W. MacDonald, Harry C. Martins, Vernon M. Haynes, Russell W. Tripp, William L. Sukeforth and Bruce Rushforth.

Middleboro's Medal of Honor recipients, World War I Army Lt. Patrick J. Regan and Vietnam Navy Corpsman Wayne M. Caron, are honored at Middleboro's Veterans Memorial Park and Pine Street Medal of Honor Bridge.
