Middleboro man, 18, charged with attempted murder after three teens stabbed
MIDDLEBORO — An 18-year-old Middleboro man was charged with attempted murder after stabbing three teenagers early Saturday, June 24, Police Chief Joseph Perkins reported.
Jayden Wainwright was arrested and charged with attempted murder and three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Police received a 911 call at 12:05 a.m. reporting multiple people stabbed in the area of the power lines on Wall Street, Perkins said.
Officers responded and found two 19-year-old men from Carver suffering from stab wounds. One of the 19-year-olds suffered multiple stab wounds to his torso, and was transported to Boston Medical Center in critical condition. The other 19-year-old suffered multiple stab wounds to his leg and was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford.
A third victim, a 15-year-old Middleboro boy who suffered a stab wound to the leg, was taken to Tobey Hospital in Wareham by a private citizen.
Wainwright was taken into custody following an investigation by Middleboro Police and is being held on $25,000 cash bail at the Plymouth County House of Correction. He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday, June 26 in Wareham District Court.
The case remains under investigation, Perkins said, and others may be facing charges.
