Live from Middleboro: Rotary Club to hold charity auction

MIDDLEBORO — For 35 years the Middleboro Rotary Club has hosted a Cable TV Charity Auction, this year’s event will conclude on Sunday, March 10 with a live broadcast on local cable channels from 4 to 7 p.m. 

Participants can place bids online for restaurant and store gift cards, personal care items, home improvement and landscaping materials, automotive servicing, jewelry, clothing, collectables and more.

To place a bid, visit middlebororotary.com. All bidding will close on March 10. The auction will be broadcast on Verizon channels 33, 34 and 35 Comcast channels 9, 22 and 26.

“This annual event has become a showcase for civic minded local business, professionals, and financial institutions that want to show their support for the Rotary Club and the work it does,” according to the club.  

Some notable items up for bid include: A new recliner from Eggers furniture, a round of golf for four with cart at Poquoy Brook, a Truck load of loam from Redlon Construction.

Corporate sponsors include Grant’s Rentals, WPLM-FM radio, Williams Trading Post and Fat Cousins Pizza.

Winning bidders can pick up their items on March 10 at 1 South Main St., Middleboro.

Proceeds from the auction help the Middleboro Rotary Club support its educational and charitable programs which include local college scholarships and community service projects.
