Services for the
Construction of the New Lakeville Fire Station

In accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sec. 44A½, the Town of Lakeville, by and through its Select Board and Fire Station Building Committee, is requesting proposals for the services of an Owner’s Project Manager (OPM) to represent the Town’s interests in managing the schematic design, development and construction of the new Lakeville Fire Station. The estimated construction cost is to be determined. Proposers must have, or be firms employing a person with, a current license and registration by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as an architect or professional engineer, with a minimum of five years experience in the construction and supervision of Public Safety Buildings, including fire stations, or if not licensed as described, then seven years supervisory experience in the construction of buildings of similar size and scope of complexity. The fee will be negotiated with the selected OPM. The RFQ will be available on April 12, 2023 at 9:00 AM by emailing the Select Board’s Office at tcraig-mcgee@lakevillema.org. Proposals, sealed and clearly marked “Lakeville Fire Station Construction Project, Response to RFQ for OPM Services,” are due no later than April 27, 2023 by 3:00 PM in the Select Board’s Office, 346 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347. The contact person is Tracie Craig-McGee, Executive Assistant to the Town Administrator and the Select Board. The Lakeville Select Board is the awarding authority. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to only award a contract if it is in the best interest of the Town to do so. The Town of Lakeville is an equal opportunity employer.

CONSERVATION COMMISSION

The Middleborough Conservation Commission will hold a hearing under M.G.L. c. 131, s.40, the Wetlands Protection Act, to raze an existing dwelling and construct a new single-family dwelling with a portion of the foundation, retaining walls, and grading to be within 100’ of a bordering vegetated wetland, at 35 Lakeside Road, Map 077, Lot 4621. AMBULANCE SERVICES

The Town of Middleborough is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide emergency ambulance services to persons in need within Town limits.

Proposal packages may be obtained beginning on April 13, 2023 by contacting Emily Surette, Assistant to the Town Manager (contact information below), Mondays through Fridays, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (holidays excepted). Proposals must be received by 4:00 PM on May 5, 2023 in the Town Manager’s Office, 10 Nickerson Ave, Middleborough, MA 02346. The awarding authority is the Select Board.
