Lakeville astronomer to speak at Dec. 4 meeting

MIDDLEBORO — Lakeville astronomer Mike Renzi will present a slide show with images of deep space objects, planets, and asteroid videos that he has taken from the observatory on Wednesday, Dec. 4 as the guest speaker for the Middleboro Rotary Club at the Fireside Grille.

Renzi will talk about how his interest in astronomy began when he was a child watching the Apollo moon landing, and about the thrill of using a telescope for the first time. 

Guests can order dinner at 6:15 p.m. or arrive for the program at 6:30 p.m. Appetizers will be provided.
