June, July Lakeville art exhibit honors Patty McMahon
The Great Ponds Gallery inside the Lakeville Public Library at 4 Precinct Street in Lakeville has a special exhibit for the months of June and July titled the Patty McMahon Memorial Group Art Exhibit.
An opening reception will be held Thursday, June 8 between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Visitors can view the 40 pieces of art and speak with some of the individual artists.
Patty McMahon was active in all of the Lakeville Public Library’s group exhibits and the special exhibits. She died in 2021 but organizers hope to honor her memory through the creativity of local artists with works on display.
On display will be art work on paper and canvas, photography, textiles, three-dimensional and a few other types of creative art.
This is a juried exhibit to honor Patty McMahon’s memory with some of the best art that the area has to offer.
This exhibit will be available for viewing between Monday, June 5 and Thursday, July 27. The Lakeville Public Library is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. The library is closed Sundays and Fridays.
