Herring Festival scheduled April 15, 16
MIDDLEBORO — The 10th Herring Run Festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16 at Oliver Mill Park, 8 Nemasket St., Middleboro.
The event will feature merchant vendors, food, exhibits, demonstrations, live music, a beer garden and the star of the show, the herring, which are running and can be seen at the festival.
Members from the Wampanoag tribe will arrive 12:30 p.m. Saturday by canoe.
Admission is free. Free shuttle parking is available at Middleboro Town Hall, 10 Nickerson Ave.; and Burkland/Goode schools, Mayflower Avenue and Jackson Street.
Parking is available at 99 North St. for $5. Handicapped accessible parking is available at the Council on Aging, 558 Plymouth St.
