Geraldine "Jerry" A. (Gonsalves) Pina, 85

MIDDLEBOROUGH  -  Geraldine "Jerry" A. (Gonsalves) Pina, age 85, of Middleborough, died peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at her home.

Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Louis & Mary (Lopes) Gonsalves.  Jerry graduated from Silver Lake High School and began working as a bookkeeper with her husband Charlie.  She worked briefly as a factory laborer at the Alden Shoe Company formerly located in Middleborough.  Jerry was a child-care provider, first offering daycare services in her home and later in a larger daycare facility located in Plymouth, also helping in the main office.  She provided loving and nurturing care to many children over the years.

Jerry was dedicated to her church; she became the First Female Church Deacon at the Baptist Church of All Nations in Taunton.  In retirement and free time, she enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and doing arts & crafts.  Jerry was a caring, creative and fun lady; she was loved and will be missed.

Jerry was the beloved wife of the late Charles "Charlie" W. Pina; loving mother of Bruce Pina of Florida, Robin Jones & her husband Leon of Middleborough, Stacey Desroches & her husband Dennis of Middleborough, and Margaret Evora of Fairfield, CT; cherished grandmother of Jermaine Brown, Dominique Sabin, Bruce Jared Pina, Amari Jones, Arjanai Jones, Taylor Desroches, Troy Desroches, Devyn Tabois and Jadyn Tabois; great-grandmother of Xavier; dear sister of Butchie Gonsalves of Stoughton and the late Richard "Dickie" Gonsalves; and longtime family friend of John Dodd of Kingston.

There will be NO visiting hours.

Funeral and Interment services are private.
