MIDDLEBORO — Middleboro Elks 1274 is hosting an Adopt a Vet Greeting Card and Children’s Artwork Drive.

This is an effort to show local veterans that they are appreciated and cared about.

The Middleboro Elks is collecting greeting cards letters, and children’s artwork, to help brighten veterans’ days. To participate, write cards or letters to “Dear Veteran,’’ seal in an envelope and leave the outside of the envelope blank.

These cards, letters, and artwork should be brought to the Middleboro Elks, 24 High St., Middleboro, and put inside the white cardboard box, located to the right, just inside the front door.

The Middleboro Elks Veterans Committee will be providing these to the local Veterans Agent and the Brockton VA representatives for distribution to veterans that don’t have much or any family involvement and could use cheering up, through reminders that people are thankful and care about them.
