Charles A. Wager, 78
MIDDLEBOROUGH - Charles A. Wager, age 78, of Middleborough, died peacefully at his home on Friday, March 14, 2025.
Born in Middleborough, he was the son of the late Harold & Madeline (Norris) Wager. Charles grew up and attended schools in Middleborough. He proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War; Charles was proficient as a cannoneer, a marksman and a sharpshooter for over two year and was honorably discharged. Charles was a state employee for the Middleborough Department of Public Works; starting as a tree surgeon and for years was the Supervisor for the Highway Department. He loved the outdoors, working in his yard and taking care of his garden. Charles was an avid walker, making his way around the streets of Middleborough, greeting folks and making conversations. He cherished time spent with his family; he was well liked, loved and will be missed.
For 51 years, Charles was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Ferbert) Wager; loving father of Coreen (Wager) Perrone of Virginia, Christine (Wager) Haggerty of Westport, Cheri (Wager) Mendoza of Middleborough, and Cathleen (Wager) O'Brien of Carver; devoted grandfather of Drew Wager, Shawn Bumpus, Mitchell Bumpus, Ashlee Ponte, Raven O'Brien and Cullen O'Brien; brother of Billy Wager of Middleborough and the late Diane Wager.
Family and friends are welcome to attend the Graveside Services at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Wood Street, Middleborough, on FRIDAY, March 28, 2025, at 11:30 AM.
All are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Life for Charles to be held at the Mitchell Memorial Club, Middleborough, on FRIDAY, March 28, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 PM.
