Bus company to upgrade Middleboro facilities
MIDDLEBORO — Five Star Bus is expanding its local operations and will be building a new facility on their bus lot on East Grove Street.
The new building will replace the trailer that they are currently using as their administrative office and will include garage bays for buses to undergo routine maintenance and repairs. Additionally, there will be a full-time on-site mechanic available, all part of what the company described as an investment in the community to provide Middleboro Public Schools with even better transportation services.
In addition to the garage bays and administrative offices, Five Star Bus will have a new training center inside the building. This will provide local drivers with additional safety training.
Construction is expected to start within the next month and should be completed by the start of the 2023-2024 school year. This means that by the time students return to school in the fall, the new building will be fully operational. The construction of this facility will provide a modern, state-of-the-art transportation facility.
