MIDDLEBORO — Library patrons hooked on crafting can come to the Middleboro Public Library for a rug hooking class.

Participants will learn the skills and techniques of rug hooking while creating a floral brooch. Rug hooking involves using crochet hook-like needles to pull yarn or material through a woven base.

Fiber artist Barbara Chadwick will lead two sessions of the class at the library Sept. 27. The first session will be from 9 a.m. to noon, and the second from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
