MIDDLEBOROUGH — Anne (Klein) Fitzsimmons, age 82, of Middleborough, formerly of Bridgewater, died on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at the Newfield House in Plymouth.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin & Leah (Litvin) Klein and grew up in Somerville. After completing her education, Anne married Leo Fitzsimmons and started residing in Bridgewater, later settling in Middleborough. For years, she worked for the Town of Middleborough as an Accountant.  She was very creative; loved arts and crafts, embroidery, quilting, and sewing. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.  Anne had many talents including making miniature doll houses.  Anne loved gardening and had a beautiful garden every spring into the summer, this really made her happy.  She enjoyed shopping, especially at flea markets and bazaars, searching for gifts and unique crafts.  Anne was active, vibrant, loved to travel, had a good sense of humor and lived life to the fullest.

For 49 years, Anne was the beloved wife of the late Leo V. Fitzsimmons; loving sister of Elaine Harold of Topsfield and Lester Klein of Wareham; dear step-mother of Maryann Patterson & her husband Dana of Braintree, Kathy Fitzsimmons of South Boston, Caroline Goolsby & her husband William of South Boston, William Fitzsimmons & his wife Cynthia of Tewksbury, Christine Bergeron & her husband Robert of Attleboro, James Telfer of Florida, Barbara Jackson of South Carolina and the late Leo V. Fitzsimmons, Jr. & his surviving wife Joanne Fitzsimmons of Florida; dear aunt of Jeffrey Harold of Franconia, NH, Courtney Harold of Burbank, CA, Fawn Conklin of Fair Lawn, NJ; grandmother of six and the late Leo V. Fitzsimmons, III; great-aunt of Sadie Harold, Baylor Harold, Hunter Conklin and Regan Conklin; great-grandmother of seven.

There will be NO visiting hours.

Family and friends are welcome to the Graveside Services at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, 1 Connery Avenue, Bourne, on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 11:15 AM.
