She Devils at the Door - Eliza Brown Tells All
Come to the Music Hall on June 20 at 7 pm to hear Eliza Brown talk about her new book, She Devils at the Door. This true story of two intrepid Pittsburgh sisters, the struggle for women’s suffrage, and a lifelong crusade against corruption features the “political twins,” Lucy and Eliza Kennedy. The research and writing took more than a decade to cover the many accomplishments of this Pittsburgh duo. The Sippican Historical Society is pleased to present this latest Speaker Series after their annual meeting. All are welcome.
An enthusiastic storyteller, Eliza Brown lectures and leads tours for the Smithsonian, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Frick Art & Historical Center, the Chicago Architecture Foundation, Carnegie Mellon University, and The Colonial Dames. She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and studied historic preservation at Cornell University. Actively engaged with the Pittsburgh community, she has served on numerous boards, among them Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, where she serves as chair.
