Christie Rexford, a representative of the state and federally funded program Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Everyone, will present an informational session on Medicare health and drug coverage on Wednesday, June 11, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Middleboro Council on Aging.

The event will take place in the Day Program Center at the Council on Aging. Rexford will guide attendees through the complexities of Medicare, including how to evaluate coverage options and reduce out-of-pocket costs such as premiums, deductibles, copayments and coinsurance.

Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Everyone provides free, confidential counseling to Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers. In addition to coverage guidance, the program assists with accessing public benefits that may help lower health care expenses.

This free session is open to the public and especially helpful for older adults, caregivers and anyone approaching Medicare eligibility. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and network with others navigating the Medicare system.
