LAKEVILLE — Freetown Lakeville Middle School Principal Jacqueline Francisco will run 31 miles on Sunday, May 25 in honor of a soldier killed in action in 2009.

Explosive Ordinance Disposal Technician Second Class Tyler J. Trahan was killed in action on April 30, 2009, two days short of his 23rd birthday while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

Beginning at 6 a.m., Francisco will run the 31 miles from Trahan’s resting place at the Bourne National Cemetery to Tyler J. Trahan Memorial Rotary in East Freetown. A flag holding ceremony will be held at the rotary at 12 p.m., once Francisco completes the journey.
