Middleboro man found guilty of killing his parents
BROCKTON — Ryan True, 25, was convicted following a seven-day jury trial in Brockton Superior Court Thursday, May 8. The following day Judge Robert Gordon sentenced True to two consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole.
On the morning of Dec. 10, 2020, Middleboro police responded to a well-being check at 3 Highland St. Officers found the bodies of Renee True, 55, and David True, 52, inside the home. Both victims had sustained multiple stab wounds and were discovered covered in blankets.
Ryan True returned to the residence while officers were on scene and surrendered without incident.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Jeremy Beth Kusmin and Shanan Buckingham. The investigation was conducted by Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
