Learn to make miniature trees out of wire
MIDDLEBORO — Artist/sculptor Ryan Kelley will teach participants how to cut, wrap, and shape wire into a miniature version of his life-size tree sculptures, on Saturday, April 5 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Middleboro Public Library.
Participants will make their own wire tree sculpture in any style they choose on a closed-fist-sized rock participants bring to class. All other tools and materials needed will be provided, and participants will take home their piece of art at the end of the workshop.
Kelley creatively transforms wire, wood, metal and stone into unique pieces of art.
With hundreds of creations and commissioned pieces to his name, his work can be seen in homes and businesses throughout the country and around the world.
Over the years his pieces have grown in scale and intricacy, much like his signature trees crafted from hundreds or thousands of wires.
Seating is limited so registration is required at midlib.org, starting Wednesday, March 12.
Participants must be 18 or older.
