LAKEVILLE — The Freetown-Lakeville school district has been awarded $15,000 from the state to help the schools offer coursework and experiences sought needed in high-demand STEM industries, Gov. Maura Healey’s office announced Thursday, Feb. 27.

These programs include health care, technology, manufacturing, life sciences and environmental sustainability.

“In Massachusetts, we want to ensure that what students learn in school helps them get to where they want to go, while also meeting our workforce needs,’’ Healey said in a prepared statement.
