LAKEVILLE — Two people have been transported to the hospital after the electric vehicle they were in struck a tree. 

The crash occurred on Myricks Street in Lakeville. Responders were dispatched for the single motor vehicle accident just before 3:30 a.m., the Lakeville Fire Department reported. Fire and police crews were at the scene. 

Two of the vehicle’s occupants were transported to St. Luke’s hospital to be treated for what are believed to be non-life threatening injures, according to the fire department. Three others were examined by fire fighters on scene but were not transported. 

The Lakeville Police Department would not provide further information about the crash at this time.
