Lakeside Family Festival set for Memorial Day Weekend
Saint John Neumann Parish will host their 37th annual Lakeside Family Festival held on the parish grounds, 157 Middleboro Road, East Freetown, MA, from May 26th to the 29th, Memorial Day Weekend.
The festivities will be held Friday, May 26th, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday, May 27th, from noon to 11 p.m.; Sunday, May 28th, from noon to 11 p.m.; and Monday, May 29th, from noon to 5 p.m.
Admission is free.
There will be amusement rides for all ages with ride all day discounts, a selection of ethnic foods, games of skill and chance with lots of prizes, face painting, a lawn and barn sale, live entertainment under the tent, and a baked goods table with homemade snacks. Alcohol is prohibited on the grounds.
The annual classic car show will be held on Sunday, May 28th.
Registration is at 9 a.m. on the festival field behind the entertainment tent. Awards take place on Sunday at 2 p.m. behind the same tent.
The Saint John Neumann Idol 2023 contest will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 28th.
There is a $20 entrance fee.
Participants must pre-register and pick up entry forms at the entertainment tent no later than noon on Sunday. Potential participants may also email voicesintime@aol.com to register or ask questions.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three entrants. The 2022 Idol winner, eight-year-old Ellia Houde, will sing a few favorite songs and pass off her title to the new winner.
