LAKEVILLE — As they were across the state, Maura Healey and Geoff Diehl were the top vote-getters in Lakeville for the Democratic and Republican race for governor. They will face off in November for the state’s top job.

Healey defeated challenger Sonia Chang-Diaz, 739 votes to 124. Chang-Diaz had dropped out of the race but remained on the ballot.

Diehl received 169 votes for the Republican nomination, while Chris Doughty earned 112.

Kimberly Driscoll took the Democratic nomination for lieutenant governor with 390 votes, defeating challengers Tami Gouveia (141 votes) and Eric Lesser (289 votes). She also won the statewide race.

Her Republican challenger will be Leah Allen, who edged Kate Campanale, 449 to 401, and also won on the state level.

Lakeville bucked the state trend by selecting Shannon Liss-Riordan for attorney general over Andrea Campbell by two votes, 339 to 337. Campbell won the state primary. Quentin Palfrey, who dropped out but remained on the ballot, received 163 votes.

Campbell will face the sole Republican contender, James R. McMahon III.

William Galvin handily defeated challenger Tanisha Sullivan, 712 votes to 155. Galvin will now square off against Republican Rayla Campbell.

Treasurer Deborah Goldberg, a Democrat, faced no opposition from either party.

Diana DiZoglio won the auditor’s race over Christopher Dempsey, 473 votes to 329. She also won on the state level and now faces Republican Anthony Amore.

The Plymouth County Commissioner race went to Alex Bezanson, who defeated Carlos A.F. DaSilva, 466 to 276. He will face Republican Sandra Wright in the fall.

Democrat Rahsaan Hall and Republican Timothy Cruz will vie for the district attorney seat in Plymouth County.

Running unopposed were: Congressional representative Jake Auchincloss; Democrat Joseph C. Ferreira for Governor’s Council; Democrat Michael J. Rodrigues and Republican Russell T. Protentis for state senator in the first Bristol and Plymouth district; and Republican Norman Orrall for state representative in the 12th Bristol district.
