Upcoming events at the Middleboro library

The Middleboro Public Library at 102 N. Main St. has a variety of events planned over the next few weeks. 

The Sewing Club will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Wilfred M. Silvia Library Trust Room on upcoming Tuesdays: Aug.  23, Aug. 30 and Sept. 6. Sewing enthusiasts are invited to bring along their works in progress.

The Rug Hooking Group will meet in the large meeting room from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays, Aug. 27 and Sept. 3. This group is open to enthusiasts of all abilities.

The Networking Support Plus Group is designed for those looking for a job or to network and make new connections, or for those seeking advice on resumes, job search strategies and employment challenges. The group will meet from 12 to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7.

Families with kids ages 5 to 8 are invited to hear Wampanoag stories and songs from Kitty Hendricks-Miller from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6. Hendricks-Miller will share artifacts and insights into Wampanoag history and traditional arts and lifeways. She’s the Indian Education Coordinator for the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe’s Education Department.
