It’s Election Day, Lakeville!

The polls will be open from noon to 8 p.m. Monday, April 1. All three precincts vote at Ted Williams Camp, Loon Pond Lodge, 28 Precinct St., Lakeville, Massachusetts 02347.

Voting booths will be cleaned routinely. Unused and sanitized pens will be provided to those who need one, and hand sanitizer will be available at the building exit.

The contested races are for three seats on the Select Board and one five-year seat on the Planning Board. On the Select Board, challengers Maureen Candito, Brynna Donahue and Mark Knox are running against incumbent Lorraine Carboni. The length of each candidate’s term will be determined by their vote totals. The top vote-getter will earn a three-year term; the candidates with the second and third highest totals will serve for two and one-year terms, respectively.

On the Planning Board, challenger David Lodge is running against incumbent Mark Knox.

All other races are uncontested. The uncontested seats include a three-year unexpired seat on the Planning Board, two seats on the Lakeville Regional School District Committee, and one seat on the Freetown Regional School District Committee. Other uncontested races are for town moderator, Board of Assessors, Board of Health, Library Trustee and Cemetery Commission, Finance Committee and Park Commission.
