Trunk or treat brings Halloween to Town Hall
MIDDLEBORO — As she waited to nab treats from decorated trunks at the Town Hall parking lot on Halloween night, three-year-old Vivian Andres displayed her costume as a happy ghost.
Emphasis on “happy.’’
Because of Covid restrictions, she hadn’t gotten a chance to enjoy the full Halloween experience until this year, her father, Jeff Andres said. “So we’re doing it all,’’ he said.
The trunk or treat featured a colorful variety of decorative trunks, including a Roy Rogers nostalgic look, a Jurassic Park theme and a visit with the Peanuts characters, among others.
A Middleboro fire truck was also on hand, complete with a costumed fire dog.
The children of a variety of ages also sported colorful costumes, including science fiction characters, Captain America, princesses, police officers and Spider-Man.
Even dogs got in the spirit. Four-month-old Thanos, a young Doberman, wore a skeleton costume.
Then there was Cameron Darvilla, 12, who dressed in a Red Sox uniform.
His proud mother, Andreya Darvilla, smiled as she explained his Halloween look. “That’s him in the future,’’ she said.
