Three injured in Lakeville car crash at Bedford, Main streets
Two adults and a child received injuries not believed to be serious following an accident at about 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 at the intersection of Bedford and Main streets, the Lakeville Fire Department reported.
Two cars collided in the intersection, officials said, with one rolling onto its side. Firefighters extricated two people from the vehicle on its side.
One of the department’s ambulances was stopped at the intersection at the time of the crash. The ambulance was returning to the station from a previous medical emergency.
A vehicle involved in the original impact came in contact with the ambulance, causing minimal damage, the department reported.
The ambulance, despite being involved in the accident, transported one patient to St. Luke’s Hospital.
A second Lakeville ambulance and a Middleboro ambulance transported the other two victims to St. Luke’s Hospital.
The intersection was closed to traffic during rescue operations.
