The third annual Middleboro Firefighter 5K will be held Saturday, Oct. 12. Race starts at 9 a.m. at 200 Oak Point Dr., Middleboro. Runners, walkers and strollers of all ages are welcome. Register at southshoreracemanagement.com. Email alan.deane68@comcast.net with questions.

Fall fun on the farm
The fourth annual harvest festival will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13 at Elliot Farm, 202 Main St. Activities include live music by Arlo, face painting, petting zoo with alpacas, and a variety of vendors and food options. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for children. Admission is free for those in need.
A tribe’s legacy
Learn about the history of The Herring Pond Wampanoag Tribe at an upcoming wpresentation at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Middleboro. The talk “The Herring Pond Wampanoag: A Journey Through History and Resilience,” will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13 at the church, 25 South Main St.
