They're baaack: Sheep Day May 16 at Soule Farm
MIDDLEBORO -- Prepare for shear excitement as the Soule Homestead Education Center is planning its annual event celebrating its popular animals.
The Sheep Day Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the farm at 46 Soule St.
Activities will include sheep shearing demonstrations by expert sheep shearer and educator Aaron Loux; sheepdog demonstration with Mike from Sheepdog Junction; fiber arts demonstrations and local vendors and artisans.
Other attractions include a kids area with crafts and activities and a Soule table with new merchandise, including t-shirts, baseball caps, winter hats, vintage mugs, seedlings and other items.
There will be face painting from Art on the Spot and music from Plymouth Rock Music.
Visitors can also explore the farm and visit the goats, chickens, rabbits and of course, the sheep.
Baked goods, refreshments and lunch options will be cooked by Wilde Flour.
