Suzanne (Lemieux) Tetreault, 76

MIDDLEBORO — Suzanne (Lemieux) Tetreault of Middleboro died peacefully and in the presence of her loving and devoted family on September 5, 2023.  She was 76. 

She was born on December 1, 1946 in Acushnet, the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Vivian I. (Gendron) Lemieux. She was raised in New Bedford and was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Fairhaven. Suzanne was a bookkeeper and secretary for Lemieux Plumbing & Heating.  A homemaker, she was devoted to her family. She volunteered for Girl Scouts and her children's schools.  Suzanne loved to knit and crochet for children and a variety of charities. Many of her creations have become family heirlooms. In addition, she was an exceptional baker.  A woman of faith, Suzanne was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church at Saint Isidore Parish in Middleboro.  

Suzanne loved her family and that love was returned. She adored her grandchildren and especially enjoyed spending time with them. She will be missed by all who knew her.  

Cherished wife for 57 years of Arthur Leo Tetreault. Devoted mother of Dean Tetreault of Middleboro, Shannon Simoes and her husband, David of Dartmouth, Cristy Smith and her husband, Michael of Lakeville. Loving grandmother of Colton Smith and Evangeline Simoes. Beloved sister of Richard Lemieux and his wife, Gloria of Acushnet, Edward Lemieux and his wife, Sheila of Acushnet, Joanne Reynolds and her husband, William of Raynham, Dennis Lemieux of Fairhaven, Michael Lemieux of New Bedford and the late Raymond and David Lemieux.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families.  

Visiting hours on September 11, 2023 (Monday) from 5 until 8 p.m. in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro. 

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday (September 12, 2023) at 9 a.m. from the funeral home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church of Saint Isidore Parish.  

Interment will follow in Central Cemetery, Middleboro.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
