On Saturday, Nov. 18, a variety of vendors will converge on the Middleboro town hall lawn from noon to 3 p.m  for the holiday Sip and Stroll event.

Admission to Sip and Stroll is free, and those who attend will find food trucks and vendors selling items like windchimes and pottery. 

One group of Middleboro parents will be selling “ugly sweaters” at Sip and Stroll to raise money for a new playground at one of Middleborough’s elementary schools.

“The playground at Henry B. Burkland [elementary school] is in disrepair,” parent Erica Adler said. “Our kids have been asking for some upgrades.”

After purchasing an ugly sweater at Saturday’s Sip and Stroll event, Middleboro parents can also attend an “ugly sweater party” on Friday, Dec. 1st at Brewery 44 in Carver.

Adler said that wearing ugly sweaters can make it easier for people to interact with each other. 

“It levels the playing field,” Adler said. “You show up to a party and you don’t have to worry about what you’re wearing.”
