Beginning July 2, visitors to the Lakeville Public Library can explore work from visual science artists as part of the Great Ponds Gallery.

Visual science artists create descriptive illustrations and renderings of complex scientific topics to better communicate ideas in textbooks, journals and educational resources.

A gallery reception will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on July 14. Attendees can meet the artists and explore the exhibit.

The exhibit is a part of a conference held by the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators at Bridgewater State University. The exhibit aims to showcase the best, current work made by visual science communicators.

The exhibit will end on July 31.
