MIDDLEBORO – The Sarcastic Swine will be closing their Middleboro location at the end of November. 

The Southern style barbeque restaurant located inside of Cape Way Convenience announced the location closure in a Facebook post on Wednesday, Nov. 1. 

“After careful consideration and evaluation, we have made the difficult decision to close this location,” wrote the restaurant in the post. “Despite our best efforts, we have faced challenges in attracting the level of foot traffic and customers needed to sustain this particular location.”

The Sarcastic Swine Middleboro location will be open Thursday through Saturday 11 a.m to 7 p.m until the final day Friday, Nov. 24. 

According to the Facebook post, a Sarcastic Swine food truck will occasionally visit Middleboro at Cape Way Convenience to “serve our delicious dishes to our loyal customers in the area.”

“We have a lot of regulars in Middleboro but not enough,” said Sarcastic Swine owner Mike Crooks. “There hasn’t been any growth and we would have to do more in sales to be profitable.”

The Sarcastic Swine Abington location will remain open every day of the week besides Wednesday, according to the post.

“I just think we had a tough location,” said Crooks. “We really appreciate the business and the support from the community.”
