LAKEVILLE — A crash on Route 140 Wednesday, Oct. 16 briefly closed down the highway, the Lakeville Fire Department reported.

Crews responded to a report of an accident at about 8 a.m. on Route 140 south, just south of the County Road on-ramp.

One person was extricated from a vehicle and transported to St. Luke’s Hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, Lakeville Fire reported. 

The highway was briefly closed to allow firefighters to operate safely at the scene, according to Lakeville Fire.
