READS Collaborative has new executive director
MIDDLEBORO — Galdina “Dina” Medeiros has been hired as the new READS Collaborative Executive Director, the Middleboro-based organization has announced.
Medeiros will assume her duties pending successful contract negotiations.
Medeiros’s appointment comes after a nationwide search process that attracted 14 applicants for the position. An Executive Director Screening Committee made up of representatives of teachers, school adjustment counselors, administrators, member district special education administrators and board members, met on several occasions in May 2023 to review applications and to interview candidates for the position.
Applicants represented a range of experiences and backgrounds.
Medeiros has more than 20 years of experience in special education and has served as an administrator for special education in the Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District since 2015. She received her master’s of education degree and certificate of advanced graduate study from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
READS Collaborative works with school districts and educators with a goal of providing creative, flexible solutions to promote the success and well-being of each child, adolescent and adult learner.
