Pitch a horseshoe at the Ted Williams Camp in Lakeville

Mar 29, 2025

There's no horse-shoeing around with this league. The annual summer horseshoe season at the Ted Williams Camp in Lakeville is holding signups the morning of April 12 and 19 and the evening of April 23.

The season consists of three leagues all held at the camp located at 28 Precinct Street. A doubles league that meets every Wednesday evening starting May 7 for a 16 week season and plays three games week. A singles league that meets every Tuesday evening starting May 6th also for a 16 week season and plays three games per week.

Anyone is welcome to join these leagues and no experience is required. The league is sanctioned by the National Horseshoe Pitching Association, the governing body of competitive horseshoe. The league keeps track of each players statistics to compare with other players from across the U.S. and Canada.

The third and final league is more casual and meets once a week on Wednesday afternoons at 2:30 p.m. beginning in early June or earlier depending on weather.
