MIDDLEBORO — The Oak Point Homeowners Scholarship Fund celebrated its most successful fall fundraiser to date Saturday, Oct. 5 after raising over $40,000 to support Middleboro graduates.

The association raised a total of $41,459 at its fall yard sale, with the help of 150 volunteers from the Oak Point community and 20 student volunteers from the schools that receive the scholarships.

All sorts of goods, including furniture, tools, electronics and seasonal decor were sold. The net proceeds of the sale will go towards scholarships for 2025 graduates of Middleboro High School and vocational support for Middleboro students at Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical School.

Oak Point Homeowners Scholarship Fund President John Burbage said this weekend’s event was the association’s most successful fall yard sale to date. Last year, the event raised $35,000 to support high school students from Middleboro.
