LAKEVILLE — About 200 employees were forced to evacuate after a fire was reported at a commercial building at 310 Kenneth Welch Drive Thursday morning, Fire Chief Michael O’Brien said.

The building houses two marijuana-related companies, Northeast Alternatives, a marijuana dispensary, and Jushi, a pot cultivation and production business. Seatrade International, a seafood processing facility, is also located at the site.

Smoke was reported throughout the building, the chief said. Firefighters from Freetown, Middleboro and Raynham also responded.

The building’s sprinkler system extinguished the fire, the chief said. Firefighters then monitored the airspace before the sprinkler system and power could be restored.

The call came in at 9:49 a.m. No injuries were reported.

Firefighters from Freetown, Middleboro and Raynham also responded to the scene, along with the Providence canteen.
