MIDDLEBORO — Middleboro resident Susan Sumner, 72, was pronounced dead at the scene of a single vehicle crash on Route 28 in Middleboro around 8:27 a.m. on Friday, July 4.
Middleboro Police and Fire found the vehicle had run off the road and crashed into a wooded area. Officials reported a Sumner was driving the vehicle, and the only occupant, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash is under investigation by the Middleboro Police Department, with assistance from State Police detectives attached to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, and CRASH Investigative Team.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
